Heather’s interest for nutrition started in youth. She discovered that when she ate healthier, she was able to run faster in cross-country with lots of energy left over for school and other activities. From that point forward, she was convinced that a healthy diet meant a successful happy life. In 2000, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition at North Dakota State University. For the next five years, she worked as a dietitian for the WIC program.
